Deadline Approaching: Casting Call for "Christine" and "Raoul" To perform with Franc D'Ambrosio September 27

UTICA, NY (August 6, 2009) The Stanley Center for the Arts is having a casting call for performers to sing duets of the roles of CHRISTINE and RAOUL from The Phantom of the Opera with Franc D'Ambrosio, the longest running 'phantom' for over a decade when he performs at the Stanley at 4pm Sunday September 27, 2009.
Entrants will be able to participate in a master class with Mr. D'Ambrosio 7pm Monday September 14, and at this time the winners of this casting call will be announced.
All competitors need only to submit a recording with the duet "All I Ask of You" (from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera) and another song in a similar Broadway style, such as songs from Oklahoma!, West Side Story, The King and I, etc. Submissions for this competition are due at the Stanley Center for the Arts by 5pm Monday August 17.
Submissions are to be on a CD only, labeled with the name and contact information of the competitor.
At the Master Class on Monday September 14, 2009, Mr. D'Ambrosio will meet all the entrants and work with the finalists. At this time, the winners who will perform on Sunday September 27 are chosen. All contestants must attend this free Master Class in order to be considered.
During the course of the Master Class, Mr. D'Ambrosio will discuss the casting processes of a Broadway show, and also discuss to some extent the "business" of being in a Broadway show.
Competitors should submit their CDs along with a bio, and a head shot to:
